    A Non-Medication Option for Treatment of ADHD

    What is it?

    • First and only FDA-approved video game therapy for ADHD, inattentive or combined type
    • Approved for children ages 8-17 yo
    • A digital game that requires:
      • Navigating a course to steer clear of obstacles
      • Tapping on targets while ignoring non-targets
      • Multitasking by navigating and targeting simultaneously  
      • Increases in complexity through 4 “worlds”
    • Continuously adapts in real time to each player’s individual ability to control their attention 

    How do you use it?

    • Recommended to be used for ~25 min/day, 5 days/week, for at least 4 consecutive weeks
    • Available with iPhone/iPad iOS (Apple) devices (need iOS version 13 or higher) or Android devices (need OS version 9.0 or higher) 

    Is it effective?

    • Treatment with Endeavor Rx demonstrated:
      • Consistent improvements in ADHD symptoms across 5 clinical studies by 25% after 1 month of treatment and 45% after 2 months of treatment
      • Meaningful improvements in Impairment Rating Scale (IRS) with 50% improvement after 1 month of treatment and 68% improvement after 2 months of treatment
      • Greater improvement when combined with stimulant medication 

    Is it safe to use?

    • No serious adverse events were reported.  Possible adverse effects may include frustration, emotional reaction, dizziness, nausea, headache, eye-strain, or joint pain while playing.  
    • It may not be appropriate for patients who have photo-sensitive epilepsy or physical limitations that restrict the use of a mobile device.  

    How do you get it?

    • It requires a prescription that can be faxed directly to the manufacturer (Akili) by your child’s clinician’s office  
    • Once prescribed, Akili will validate and process the order submitted.
    • The child’s caregiver will receive an email with a link to pay for the treatment.
    • Once the payment has been processed, the caregiver will receive a second email with a unique activation code.
    • EndeavorRx app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play and treatment activated with the code.  

    How much does it cost?

    • The current cost is $99 for a 30 day prescription.
    • It is FSA/HSA eligible (you can either use your FSA/HAS card during checkout or submit the cost to your FSA/HSA after purchase.
