Care on Evenings and Weekends
We have regional "after hours"/Children’s Primary Extended Care (CPEC) sites that are open Monday-Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.
Click here to see your closest CPEC location.
We are open on Saturdays regionally as well, from 8am-12pm. Same-day appointments are available on Saturdays for sick visits and for newborns who have been discharged from the hospital. To schedule a same-day appointment on Saturday, call your primary CPCMG office on Saturday, and a CPCMG representative will guide you.
We are only closed for a few major holidays each year, and we offer telehealth visits 365 days/year for select visits for patients over the age of 3 months old. Click here to learn more about Video Visits.
How To Contact Our Nurses and Healthcare Providers
When we are not open, we have 24/7 nurse triage, and there is always a doctor on call who can answer questions should the nurse not be able to provide advice. To speak with a triage nurse, please call your primary CPCMG office and select the option for healthcare advice.
You can reach us for non-emergent medical questions via MyChart. Please note that MyChart messages are not monitored after hours or on weekends. Please allow 3 business days for replies to MyChart messages. For same-day needs, please call your primary CPCMG office and select the option for healthcare advice.
For any emergent concerns that cannot wait for an appointment during our available hours, we recommend Rady Children’s Urgent Care or Rady Children’s Emergency Department, to ensure that your child is seen by a pediatric provider. For patients with CPMG/RCHN insurance, please click here for more information on after-hours and urgent care providers in network.
