    • Do not ever allow your baby or other children around secondhand smoke. It has been proven that babies who breathe passive smoke have more respiratory illnesses, ear infections and SIDS. They also have a greater chance of developing lung cancer later in life.
    • If you smoke, do so outside the house. Since clothing absorbs smoke and nicotine, have a jacket that you wear when smoking and leave it outside. It is also better to make sure you pull your hair back while smoking and wash your hands after, since smoke can stay on hair and nails.
    • Do not smoke in the car.
    • We strongly urge all smokers to contact their own physician for help in quitting smoking.
