Care Coordination

Care coordinators work with you to identify all services available to you within the program and in the community. They help you connect to services that are the best fit for your child's age and developmental and behavioral needs.

Parent Education

This series of 4 weekly workshops includes topics such as: Developmental milestones and everyday teachable moments, developing healthy patterns of sleep, nutrition, and safety, your child's temperament and setting age-appropriate limits, Resources in your community and navigating systems of care.

Developmental Services

You and your child can meet with an assessment specialist for a play-based session to see if your child is meeting language, motor, problem-solving, and social/emotional milestones. Small group treatment classes for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and individual consultants to address specific areas of need are offered. Referrals to additional services will be made as needed.

Behavioral Services

Specialized classes to help parents better understand and respond to their child's behavior, with opportunities to develop strategies that work for your child. Behavioral specialists can also meet with you individually to discuss potty training, sleeping, picky eating, or other behavioral concerns. If needed, psychotherapy with licensed mental health clinicians is also available.

You can refer your own child by calling directly. Healthy Development Services are offered at various locations throughout San Diego County. Click here to find a location near you.
